Just one of the many services our animal control officers provide. Seen here is Animal Control Officer "Whitey" Streeter removing an unwanted skunk from someone's property. As usual, ACO Streeter does so without getting sprayed.
Other calls of service include but are not limited to; loose domesticated animals (i.e.; dogs horses, etc), loose farming animals, primary enforcement of the Towns Bi-Laws pertaining to dogs (i.e.; licensing / unleashed dogs, etc) and injured wildlife.
The police department members brought Mr. "Whitey" Streeter out to the Whately Inn to celebrate his retirement. It was a perfect night for all, especially when Whitey shared stories of long-ago.
